Help Needed for a Christmas Short Film
Thank you to everyone who has responded so far to volunteer and help with our upcoming film project. But, we still need a lot more help!
We especially still need a location to film and actors for the older roles. If you, or anyone you know, would be willing to help, please see below for details and our specific needs:
MHS Christmas Short Film Shoot
Date: Saturday, December 3rd
Time: 9:00am—4:00pm
Location: TBD
Film Premiere: “Evening of Christmas” on December 9th
1) Location: We need a house that we can film inside. We would only need the living room. Ideally, we also need to film the exterior of another house that is either next door or across the street from our primary shooting location.
2) Production Design: We need lots (and I mean lots) of Christmas decorations (both interior and exterior). We need a Christmas tree, too.
3) Actors: We need to cast an “elderly” woman, preferably in her 60’s or 70’s. We also need a “Mom” and “Dad”, preferably in their 40’s. We also need extras of all ages to help out as well.
4) Crew: We need parents who are willing to help with the art department and wardrobe. “Many hands make light work.”
As you can see, this is a big undertaking so we are going to need a lot of help. If you can assist with anything on this list, please contact our Film teacher, Mr. Duke, by emailing him at j_duke@mhs-hs.org or calling him at (310) 525-9472.
Parents who are still in need of volunteer service hours, this would be a great way for you to earn them.
