    Planned Giving Opportunities:
There are a variety of ways you can include Maranatha High School in your will or estate plan.  Please know that our staff are available to work with you to customize your gift so that it can best meet your estate planning needs. Alternatively, you may wish to consider one of the following:

    • A Bequest in a Will:  Make a provision in your will, designating a specific gift or a percentage of your estate. The most common gifts are cash, securities or real property.
    • Life Income Gifts: A charitable gift annuity, a charitable remainder trust, or a pooled income fund, all provide income to you or your beneficiary during your life. These types of gifts usually reduce or eliminate certain types of taxes, and provide a guaranteed income during your life. Following your passing, Maranatha receives the gift.
    • Life Insurance or Retirement Plan: Maranatha High School can be made the beneficiary of your life insurance policy or retirement benefits/IRA.
    • A Life Estate: With this gift, you deed your property to Maranatha High School, but continue to occupy the property for the remainder of your life. A life estate may provide an income tax deduction, and reduces capital gains and estate taxes.

    Designating your Gift:
You may designate your estate gift to benefit any area you choose at Maranatha High School (e.g. tuition assistance, athletics, visual and performing arts, academics, facilities, technology etc.). You can create a named endowment fund with a minimum estate gift of $25,000.
