Why Build Endowment Funds?

A well funded endowment is the goal of most nonprofit organizations. An endowment is a fund established in perpetuity, with a portion of the income from the fund used each year to support a designated purpose. An endowment provides a lasting legacy of a donor’s generosity and reflects the donor’s intentions and wishes. A donor can be assured that the organization will honor his/her original intent when the income is disbursed each year.

Currently, Maranatha has three existing endowment funds

List of 3 items.

  • The Jack Green Tuition Assistance Endowment

Established in honor of former principal Jack Green. Contributions to the Jack Green Endowment allow this fund to continue to grow for the purpose of supporting deserving students of “The Maranatha Experience”.
  • The Roxanne Cook Tuition Assistance Endowment

Established in 2009 by the Cook family in honor of their daughter, Roxanne, Class of 2009. This endowment for tuition assistance provides a legacy of generosity at Maranatha by strengthening the school’s ability to accept students of all economic and diverse backgrounds. We encourage other families to contribute to this fund so it may continue to grow and provide funds in perpetuity to deserving students.
  • The MHS Endowment Fund

Established in 2015 by former Head of School, Dr. Richard Riesen. Contributions to this Fund are intended to build a resource to assure the longevity of Maranatha’s mission: preparing students for living lives of purpose and distinction, as reflected by character, competency and community, by developing the whole student through relationships, to honor the Lord Jesus Christ.

Endowment Giving Form

Building these endowments is an important measure of good stewardship to help ensure that MHS will be able to continue serving a wide variety of families in our community for generations to come.
