Dr. Kara Powell to Speak About Student Stress & Anxiety this Wednesday

Renowned author and speaker, Dr. Kara Powell, will be sharing about “WHY We are in a Mental Health Crisis & HOW to Respond to Your Child's Stress & Anxiety” when she talks to Maranatha parents this Wednesday, November 11, at 8:00 a.m. 

The isolation and uncertainty many people have experienced this year, including children, is something that weighs heavily on our hearts. This is a timely and important message that parents won’t want to miss. Maranatha’s Parent Association is honored to have Dr. Powell as the keynote speaker for their November meeting. Dr. Kara Powell is the Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) and a faculty member at Fuller Theological Seminary. She is also the parent of a Maranatha senior. Dr. Powell was named by Christianity Today as one of “50 Women to Watch.” She also serves as a Youth and Family Strategist for Orange, and speaks regularly at parenting and leadership conferences. Dr. Powell is the author or co-author of a number of books including Growing Young, The Sticky Faith Guide for Your Family, Sticky Faith Curriculum, Can I Ask That?, Deep Justice Journeys, Essential Leadership, Deep Justice in a Broken World, Deep Ministry in a Shallow World, and the Good Sex Youth Ministry Curriculum.
