Advent Chapel Series Begins

With the month of December upon us, the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas are all around us. It’s during this time that the Christian calendar invites us to enter a season of great anticipation: Advent.

The word Advent means “coming” or “arrival”, where we spend the four-week period leading up to Christmas preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus Christ. In a world that is in no short supply of darkness, the season of Advent reminds us that there is great light to be found in the form of a God who entered into the world as a newborn baby. It’s this light that illuminates a way for us to walk faithfully with HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and LOVE.

This December and January, we will be exploring these Advent themes that flow from Christ's heart. May we prepare ourselves for the coming of Emmanuel, God with us, as our hearts cry “Maranatha!” - “Come, Lord Jesus!”

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” - Isaiah 9:2
