Classroom Modernization Project

The Keith Family Field is one of Maranatha’s most important gathering places. Throughout the year, it serves as the setting for more than 30 athletic, school, and community events, including football and soccer games, cheer events, admissions programs, commencement, and other special occasions. It is a place where students are recognized, families gather, and the Maranatha community comes together in celebration.

 

The sound experience on the field plays a major role in each of these moments. However, our current audio system is more than ten years old and has reached the end of its useful life. As a result, sound coverage is inconsistent, and the current setup is no longer the best fit for the many events hosted on the field each year.

 

Through The Sound of Community, Maranatha is seeking to raise $130,000 to install a new field audio system at Keith Family Field. This upgraded system utilizes directional speakers similar to those used in major stadiums and will provide clearer, more consistent sound across the space, allowing audio to be directed toward the field and seating areas with greater precision. This means a significantly improved experience for those attending events, while also reflecting thoughtful stewardship of our surrounding neighbors.

 

This project is about more than replacing equipment. It is about strengthening a space where community happens. From game-day introductions and halftime performances to commencement and special campus events, this new system will help ensure that every important moment can be heard clearly and experienced more fully.
