We want to give a special shoutout and updates to the following teams as we head into CIF-SS playoffs.
Tennis: Congratulations to Matthew Yip '25 and Reggie Park '26 for finishing in 2nd place in the Coastal League Finals for Varsity Boys’ Tennis - Doubles. Yip and Park fell short to Geffen's doubles in the championship match after an "epic" semi-final match that lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes! The entire team now enters the queue for their placement in the 2025 CIF-SS Playoffs. More info to follow.
The Varsity Baseball team has won their last 15 consecutive games and has solidified their 8th straight Olympic League Championship! The Minutemen finish out their regular season this week with their Senior Night at home on Tuesday at 4:00 pm against Quartz Hill. The team then travels to Rancho Santa Margarita for their final game of the season before CIF-SS Playoffs.
Swim and Dive: Currently waiting to see if they will have individual swimmers and relay teams qualify for CIF-SS Qualifiers.
Girls’ Varsity 200 medley relay: Vannessa Kragelund, Jane Bradley, Maggie Brantingham, Loghan Duran, and Morgan Duran
Track and Field concluded their Olympic League Finals with Deanna McKellop finishing First Place in the Varsity Girls’ 100m and 200m dash. McKellop also won the Olympic League Female Sprinter MVP award for her performances this year at Olympic League meets! Sophomore Aiden Funn also finished first in Boys’ Varsity high jump. The two are set to qualify at CIF Prelims held in Carpinteria this weekend on May 10th.
Boys’ Golf is currently awaiting their placement in both individual and team qualifiers for CIF-SS Playoffs. More info to follow.
Come on out and show your support for our student-athletes this week. Go Minutemen!
