Athletics News and Game Schedule: Nov. 3–8
There is a lot to look forward to this week in Maranatha Athletics as our Girls' Tennis Team and Football Team head into Round 1 of CIF Southern Section playoffs!
Girls’ Tennis will play host to Rowland High’s Lady Raiders on Wednesday at 2:00 pm (match played at Pasadena HS) for their playoff match-up, while Football will travel away to Baldwin Park on Friday for their Round 1 game at 7:00 pm.
Winter Practices This Week:
- Soccer: Monday–Wednesday 6:30–8:30 pm, Thursday 5:15–7:15 pm, and Friday 3:45–5:45 pm
- Girls’ Basketball: Monday/Wednesday 3:45–4:45 pm, Tuesday/Thursday 6:00–8:00 pm, and Friday 3:45–5:45 pm
- Boys’ Basketball: Monday/Wednesday 6:00–8:00 pm, Tuesday/Thursday 3:45–5:45 pm, and Friday 6:00–8:00 pm

Weekly Updates:
Football: The Minutemen finished out their regular season with a close game against the Whittier Christian Heralds last Friday night. The team finished with a 42-39 victory during the team's Senior Night game, which secured them a 2nd Place finish in the Mesquite League. The Minutemen will now travel to face the Baldwin Park High School Braves in the team’s Division 11 Round 1 Playoff matchup at 7:00 pm this Friday.
Girls' Tennis has secured a home playoff match in Round 1 of Division 5 for the CIF-Southern Section Girls' Tennis Playoffs! The team will host the Lady Raiders of Rowland High School at 2:00 pm, with the match played at the Pasadena High School tennis courts! Good luck, Lady Minutemen!
Cross Country now prepares for the Olympic League Final hosted on November 5 at Hansen Dam.
