Our Winter season teams are setting their schedules and beginning practices for their upcoming games and tournaments. Take a look below at everything happening this week at Maranatha!

 

 

Football picked up a big Mesquite League win with a 37-14 victory over the Arrowhead Christian Eagles last Friday night. The Minutemen now prepare to face the Big Bear High School Bears in the team’s ninth and final away game of the season.  

 

Girls' Tennis begins their final week of league matches before heading to League Prelims next week as they stand at 12-1 on the year. The team is set to face Whittier Christian on Tuesday for their Senior Night. We extend a big congratulations to senior student-athletes: Mia Su, Diana Sarkysyan, Kathryn Khalil, Mia Huang, and Madi White as they finish their final league matches for their high school career. Senior Night festivities to begin at the end of their match. The team will then finish off the week with a match against Village Christian at Arcadia Tennis Center on Thursday, October 23, at 2:00 pm.

 

Cross Country took part in the Olympic League Meet #2 last week. Congratulations to student-athlete Andrew Mejia for taking home 8th place in the Varsity Boys’ 3-mile race with a time of 17 minutes, 44 seconds, and to Olivia Bird for taking home a top 15 finish in the Girls’ Varsity 3-mile race with a time of 27 minutes, 36 seconds.   

 

Girls’ Golf will begin their playoff run this week as they head to the Camino Real League Golf Prelims on Tuesday, October 21, hosted at Harding Golf Course at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. The Lady Minutemen have 3 student-athletes competing on Tuesday in hopes of advancing to League Finals on Thursday. Congratulations and good luck to Pacifica Mahoney, Ella Klop, and Lauren Tang!
