October Parent Association Meeting: Supporting Your Teen’s Mental Health

All parents are invited to the next Parent Association meeting on Friday, October 10, from 8:30–9:30 am in the Student Center. Please note that this month’s meeting is scheduled for Friday morning (rather than Wednesday) due to MAP/PSAT testing on October 8.

Our featured speaker will be Matt Fernandez, Maranatha’s Wellness Counselor, who will address the important topic of Mental Health and Faith. Mr. Fernandez will share how to recognize the signs that your teen may be struggling and provide practical guidance on helping them manage anxiety, depression, and stress. Parents will learn how to support their teens through a Christian perspective—balancing prayer, scripture, and seeking appropriate care when needed.

PA meetings are a great way to stay up to date with what’s happening on campus, connect with other parents, and explore ways to get involved in enriching the Maranatha experience for our students. Light refreshments will be served, and attendees will receive one Parent Service Program (PSP) hour for attending.

We hope you’ll join us for this timely and encouraging session!
