House Barnhart Wins This Year’s House Cup

Maranatha students celebrated one of the year’s most spirited traditions today as the annual House Cup Competition brought the entire student body together for a final afternoon of friendly competition, school spirit, and community fun.

The House Cup Competition serves as the culmination of a yearlong series of challenges, group games, and spirit-building activities between Maranatha’s six Houses. Throughout the school year, Houses earn points not only for winning competitions, but also for showing enthusiasm, unity, and school pride.

Today’s event gave each House one final opportunity to add to its point total before the year’s champion was announced. The competition began in the gym with light-hearted games featuring students from each House. From there, the entire student body moved to the natatorium, where House teams competed in two unconventional swim relay races. The celebration continued on the South Lawn with a slip-n-slide Tug of War competition, followed by the much-anticipated Color Wars tradition.

After all the points were tallied, House Barnhart came out on top and was declared the winner of this year’s House Cup.

Congratulations to House Barnhart and to all six Houses for making this year’s competition such a fun and memorable celebration of Maranatha spirit!
