Students Continue to Lead Worship from Home

Morning Worship is a great way to gather with the student body outside of the weekly chapel setting.
This tradition has been carried out for years by the Ministry Team at Maranatha. Though in the past students and teachers have been able to meet in person to worship together on Friday morning before school, we currently have the opportunity to meet virtually. Using a function on Instagram called “Instagram Live” a student broadcasts worship sets from her home every Friday morning at 7:30 am.

“As a senior at Maranatha, I have been blessed by morning worship every year of high school”, said Jenna Witherspoon ‘21, Ministry Team member and Friday Morning Worship Coordinator. “Being able to join my fellow students in worship before school every week gives me a great start to the school day. At the beginning of this semester, I was offered the opportunity to start coordinating the weekly morning worship. Although I was nervous to undertake the responsibility of waking up extra early every Friday, this experience has blessed me in numerous ways. I am grateful to provide students, faculty and staff, and parents with the opportunity to join me in worship. Ending the week by coming before God in praise has been an amazing source of joy in my life, and I hope and pray that you may be able to join me and my fellow student worship leaders every Friday morning on Instagram Live.”

To join, follow @mhsspirituallife on Instagram, and then join the live stream on Friday mornings at 7:30 a.m. We hope to see you there!
