Join the Maranatha Dance Company!
We're seeking talented dancers (intermediate to advanced) to join our dynamic group, showcasing a range of styles including hip hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, and tap. Perform with us at community events, chapels, select football games, and our annual showcase.
Students who are interested should sign up for tryouts HERE so we can plan accordingly, send reminders, and collect contact information.
Tryouts will be held this Saturday, May 10, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. No prior preparation is necessary—just come ready to dance! The day will include stretching, leaps, turns, and short variations in jazz and hip hop, all of which will be taught to you. Dress comfortably in leggings, jazz pants, or joggers, paired with a t-shirt (cropped tops are not allowed). Don't forget your water bottle and jazz shoes (sneakers for the hip hop portion are optional).
If you have conflicts with the tryout date, don't worry—reach out to Mrs. Laurel Peabody at L_peabody@mhs-hs.org to arrange an alternative plan.
Practices are scheduled for during the school day in our Dance Company class period, with additional hours as needed for performances, flex periods, and after-school rehearsals.
