Learn About Maranatha’s Upcoming Service Trips

Parents and students are invited to attend an informational session on Thursday, November 16, to learn more about the amazing service opportunities planned for the end of the school year.

Three trips are planned: Hollywood (late May/early June 2024), Costa Rica (late May 2024), and Greece (early June 2024).

As a Christian school, we encourage our students to participate in these opportunities to serve the needs of others because it aligns with core Christian values such as love, compassion, and empathy. These trips expose students to diverse cultures, traditions, and lifestyles while helping them gain a global perspective.

Service trips often require students to step out of their comfort zones and adapt to unfamiliar situations. This promotes personal growth, independence, and the development of valuable life skills such as problem-solving, adaptability, and self-reliance.

Working together with a group of peers in a different setting can lead to the formation of strong bonds and foster teamwork. Overcoming challenges and serving together can create lasting friendships and a sense of unity among participants.

In addition to the potentially life-changing benefits of participating in one of these upcoming opportunities, it’s worth mentioning that a service trip also stands out on a college application.

We hope to see you on Thursday, November 16, from 6:00-7:00 pm. Check the school calendar for location details.
