To Everything There Is A Season and a Period of “Transition”

Maranatha High School is getting ready for a spectacular performance showcase.
Life is about change. A Greek philosopher put it aptly when he said, “You can’t step in the same river twice.” So, most of the time, at any given point in our lives, we find ourselves in a period of “transition.”

Maranatha’s Dance Company, Mixed Ensemble, and Orchestra will be giving their artistic perspective on this idea on April 27-28 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ambassador Auditorium. Through dance and music, they will seek to illustrate some of the transitions that we all face. Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that there is a season for everything in our lives; a time to laugh and cry, to mourn and rejoice, to war and make peace. Maranatha's Performing Arts students will be speaking, through performance, about these seasons. This show will illustrate the fact that, whether the change is relational, spiritual, educational, or financial, until we stand in the presence of Jesus, we will never fully arrive.

Our dancers and musicians will perform their way through some of the most popular music of today as well as the timeless classics that illustrate transition. Come ready to experience selections from “Hamilton,” and “The Greatest Showman,” as well as music and dance that has reflected change down through the ages.

Tickets are being sold at $10 for general admission and $8 for students, and will be available at the door as well as online at maranathahighschool.org/boxoffice. If you have a myMHS account, you can just click on the Performing Arts Box Office link found under Resources.
