Mixed Ensemble Brings Christmas Caroling to Local Retirement Home
On December 1, Maranatha's Choir Faculty Adam Rupp and his Mixed Ensemble students visited the Regency Park Oak Knoll in Pasadena, an assisted living and memory care facility.
They were invited by Jeanine Hernandez (mother of Alanna Hernandez ‘19) who works at the Regency Park Oak Knoll. “We were invited to sing for the residents of the care facility as an opening to the Christmas season. We arrived after their lunch time and sang familiar carols, as well as more academic arrangements of holiday songs for about 30 minutes. We even had the residents join in,” says Adam. After singing, Adam and his Mixed Ensemble team stayed and visited with the residents. Adam says, “It was a really great experience for both us and the residents. They were incredibly grateful to have us, and our students were blessed by the interactions they had with the residents.”
