This Week in Athletics

Kudos to our Varsity Baseball Team for competing in the Boras Classic against 4 of the top 25 ranked baseball teams in the state over Easter Break. The Minutemen ended the Boras Classic 2-2 as they took on Orange Lutheran (L), Villa Park (W), Rancho Santa Margarita (W), and Mater Dei (L). The team took #2 ranked Rancho Santa Margarita into extra innings and won the game via a walk-off sacrifice fly and followed it up with a gutsy game against Mater Dei. The Minutemen stand at 15-4, 9-0 as they head into their final weeks of the season before playoffs. Senior Night is scheduled for Friday, April 21.

 

Congratulations to our Softball Team for a successful Easter tournament trip where they went 4-0 and head into their final week of league play. The team now sits at 13-7 as they take on their final 3 teams of the season this week. Senior Night will take place on Friday, April 21 against Montebello HS.

 

Track & Field will face off in the Olympic League Meet #2 on Thursday, April 20 at Heritage Christian.

 

Boys’ Tennis is set to host two home games this week against Geffen Academy on Tuesday, April 18, and against New Roads on Thursday, April 20.

 

Boys’ Volleyball is set to play their final game of the season before CIF playoffs on Tuesday, April 18 at 5:00 pm vs. Heritage Chistian. The game will be played at Birmingham Charter HS.
