Blessed to be a Blessing

For Maranatha students and faculty, Thanksgiving week begins with an opportunity to serve others as an expression of gratitude for all with which we have been blessed.
The school’s annual Service Days will take place November 22 and 23. Hundreds of students, joined by their faculty and staff advisors, will head out across the San Gabriel Valley to assist numerous non-profit organizations with various projects, ranging from facility maintenance to feeding the homeless.

Dean of Students, Mike Mancini, recently shared with the students during Spiritual Emphasis Week's community gathering, stating, “We recognize that God has blessed us in so many ways, and we have the opportunity to be a real blessing to people in our community, not only during our Service Days, but everyday.” God has blessed us as individuals and as a school community. Serving others should be our response, our expression of thankfulness. Service Days are simply an opportunity for us to be a blessing to others and to carry God’s word to the communities around us.
