Maranatha’s 2021 Prom is Almost Here!

With the Junior/Senior Prom less than two weeks away, anticipation for the biggest student social event of the year is high!
This year’s Prom, “Evening at the Riviera”, will be held on Saturday, April 24, from 6:00-10:00 pm. at a private estate in South Pasadena. Students who had previously submitted their RSVP (through the survey emailed by Mr. Veltkamp 3 weeks ago) will receive another email tomorrow containing the link to purchase tickets online for themselves and their date (if they choose to bring one). A contract, which must be signed by each attendee, will also be emailed in the next week.

To ensure the safety of all participants, each attendee must be tested for Covid-19 on Friday, April 23. Maranatha is providing this free Covid Testing on-campus between 2:30-4:30 pm for any students and their dates who have purchased tickets for Prom. Students and their guests may come to campus to be tested, or they have the option to be tested at a medical facility of their choosing (at their own expense). In order to be admitted to Prom, each attendee must bring their ID and verification of a negative test result from a Covid test administered on 4/23.

Students attending Prom will meet in Maranatha’s underground parking garage and will be shuttled by bus to the event. Shuttles will then bring students back to campus at the conclusion of Prom. Students should arrive at Maranatha at 5:15 pm to check in and board the shuttle bus. The final bus of the evening should return to campus no later than 11:00 pm.

If you have any questions regarding Prom, please email ASB Advisors Tim Veltkamp or Alexandra Brown.
