Another Amazing Featured Guest for this Week’s Women in STEM Series

This Friday during business lunch, we will have the third installment in our Women in STEM Series.
These lunchtime conversations feature amazing STEM leaders. This week we are thrilled to welcome our guest Melissa Jawaharlal, co-founder of STEM Center USA. A former contestant on ABC’s hit show, “Shark Tank”, Melissa and her twin sister received $200,000 to further develop their robotic product for youth education. Both Melissa, and her sister, Lavanya, were mechanical engineering students at USC and UC Berkeley (respectively), who wanted to focus their attention on exciting the next generation of STEM leaders through hands-on, experiential learning. While still students, they founded STEM Center USA to give students a safe, comfortable space to learn about technology and also take their skills to the next level.

Their entrepreneurship and engineering skills are an inspiration, as is their passion to open access to education and creativity for students both in and out of the school environment.

We are honored to have Melissa Jawaharlal join us this Friday, February 19 at 11:50 a.m. and hope that every Maranatha student will join the Zoom broadcast to hear from, and be inspired by, Melissa. Students can access the Zoom login info on the Virtual TILE Lab page found on their myMHS Resources tab.
