Five Maranatha Student-Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

Maranatha High School had five more student-athletes sign with various colleges and universities this spring.
Due to the restrictions on gathering and social distancing requirements because of the Coronavirus, Maranatha was unable to host its annual spring signing festivities. As an alternative, Maranatha celebrated the student-athletes with personalized yard signs to display proudly at their homes. The 2020 spring signees include Ethan Firestone ‘20, Aidan Holly ‘20, Joshua Chairez ‘20, Isaac Fields ‘20, and Vic Hoffman ‘20.

As a catcher in his sophomore year, Ethan helped lead the Minutemen to the CIF Championship win. During his junior, Ethan was 1st Team All Olympic League, in addition to being the team’s Defensive Player of the Year. Ethan has been a tremendous teammate and hit cleanup his senior season.

Aidan Holly (Baseball): Westmont College. Aidan came to Maranatha during his senior year. He immediately had a positive impact on the entire baseball program with his incredible work ethic and passion. Aidan picked up the win in relief against the top ten ranked Etiwanda High School.

Joshua Chairez (Baseball): Cal State Dominguez Hills. Josh was a two-year starter at third base, winning the Olympic League Gold Glove award and 2nd Team All Olympic League honor as a junior. In the shortened 2020 season, Josh hit the game-tying home run against Bonita High School.
