We invite your student to continue his or her high school trajectory at Maranatha this summer!
Maranatha is operating under the assumption that live school will be back in session this summer and is offering a broad selection of courses during its 2020 Summer Academy. Examples of classes offered include Honors and regular Geometry, Biology, and Chemistry. Taking a science or math course during the summer provides students with the opportunity to take higher-level/AP courses in these areas during the regular school year. Other courses offered this summer include a resume-building, UC-approved Robotics Science Elective and a Speech and Debate English Elective. The 2020 Summer Academy takes place from June 15 to July 24, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (because of the additional laboratory component, science classes will end at 12:30 p.m.).
We also encourage students to take one of our Summer Academy after-school enrichment classes, which will help them to stay motivated and continue to grow and learn. The enrichment classes being offered are Intro to Worship Design, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., and after school Tutoring for Learning Assistance Program students, daily from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Both classes take place Monday-Friday.
The Summer Academy registration fee is $50 for any part-time or full-time class. Please view HERE to get further information about various classes that are offered. We hope to see you at our beautiful Maranatha campus this summer! For questions, please contact Claudia Jimenez, Registrar, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
***Please note, if school closures continue through the summer due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Maranatha High School will consider moving Summer Academy to online courses. We will be sure to keep you readily updated as more information comes in.
