“Oh the Thinks You Can Think” in a World of Color and Imagination

In 10 days the Maranatha campus will be filled with the color and creativity of the Visual and Performing Arts.
Maranatha families and friends are invited to come to spend an afternoon and evening with us on March 12-14, beginning with “Light from the Fringes”, our annual Arts Festival, starting at 3:00 p.m. and followed by an evening of theater as our Performing Arts students present “Seussical the Musical”.

Your Art Festival experience will begin at the student art tent as you view some of the finest art pieces our Maranatha students have created. Then, enter the Student Center to experience art in a world of virtual reality, paint your own portrait, look at the amazing 3D art boxes that our CAD students have created, and view the art exhibit from our Graphic Design and Photography classes.

Grab a Kona Ice on your way to the Academic Quad, where you can express yourself on concrete with chalk before traveling up to Commons to enjoy a student film presentation. Next, step outdoors to the terrace patio for an exhibit that is a great representation of where our Maranatha alumni have traveled in their own art journeys. Finally, get yourself a hot cup of coffee and enjoy a student singer/songwriter or storyteller performance. And if you’re feeling hungry, then grab dinner in our Food Court where foods from around the world have been expertly prepared by our Maranatha clubs and Global Steward Trips groups.

Finally, at 7:00 p.m. enter the Ambassador Auditorium and sit back and enjoy watching our students use their God-given talents to present the Tony Award-winning musical, “Seussical.” But if you and your family are unable to make an evening performance, we welcome you to attend our Saturday matinee at 2:00 p.m. and stay afterward to experience the sights, sounds and smells of the Arts Festival.

Admission to the “Lights from the Fringes” Arts Festival is free, and tickets to attend any of the “Seussical” performances can be purchased online at maranathahighschool.org/boxoffice or in-person at the Box Office on performance days.

Come and enjoy a weekend of Fine Arts at Maranatha High School. You will leave enriched by letting yourself become immersed in art produced by students to the glory of our Creator God.
