Authors, Artists and Antiquity: An Excursion to Remember

From June 1-15, 2020, the English and Art Departments will be taking a group of our very own students on an exciting 2-week tour of Ireland, Wales, England, and Scotland.
This wonderful opportunity will give students the pleasure of adding to their life’s adventures, as well as offer a first-hand glimpse into the roots of much of our American heritage. As a former student who joined us on our last MHS tour of the U.K. said, “I loved every minute of this trip! We did so much and I have fantastic memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Everything is so green and beautiful...and seeing places that I had only heard about in my classes, made it all come to life. I’m so glad I went!”
There are two opportunities to learn more about this tour: a meeting on Wednesday, August 28, right after Back to School Night from 8:45-9:05 pm, and on Wednesday, September 4, at 6:30 pm. Both meetings will be held in the Academic Center, room 105. Please join us!
Some of the things we will do and see are Viking settlements, historic colleges, glorious cathedrals, an evening of traditional music and dancing, medieval fortresses, castles, ancient Roman sites, stone circles, the wonders of London, and much, much more!
