Maranatha Athletics is excited to get back in the game as summer comes to a close and the 2026–2027 school year gets underway!
We look forward to rallying our community around the many athletic events and opportunities that lie ahead. Below is a link to the official Maranatha CIF Athletics Calendar, your go-to playbook for dates, times, and locations for all of our athletic programs.
As we approach the first day of school and prepare to kick off another exciting year, we want to make sure you are well informed. Below are several Athletics resources and important pieces of information to help our community start the year strong and stay ahead of the game.
Lastly, our JV and Varsity Volleyball teams have their first away matches on the first day of school, August 13.
We can't wait to see our Minutemen and Lady Minutemen take the field, court, course, and beyond!

Maranatha Fall Sports: Information, Levels, and Head Coaches:
Boys' and Girls' Cross Country

- Junior Varsity & Varsity levels
- Tryout and start of practice dates: Monday, August 17
- Weekly practice schedule: (M-W-F 3:40 - 5:10 pm)
- Practice Location: South Patio (behind gymnasium)
- First Meet: September 12 @ Hansen Dam, Olympic League Meet #1
Girls' Golf
- Head Coach: Teresa Petersen (t_petersen@mhs-hs.org)
- Varsity only
- Preferred tryout and start of practice dates: 8/17-8/21, 4:00 - 6:00 pm
- Weekly practice schedule/location: Monday - Friday 4:00 - 6:00 pm @ various golf courses
- First Match: September 3 @ Valley Christian (Skylinks Golf Course)
Girls' Volleyball

- Frosh, Junior Varsity, & Varsity levels

Girls' Tennis

- Preferred tryout and start of practice dates: Thursday, August 20 - Tryout (with practices beginning on Monday, August 24 for those who make the team)
- Weekly practice schedule: (Monday - Thursday, 3:30 - 5:30 pm @ Pasadena HS)
- Vans depart at 3:30 pm from parking structure to practice
- First Match: September 10, 3:15 pm @ Santa Fe HS
Football
