Summer Community Musical: The Wizard of Oz - June 26-27
This summer we’re doing something brand new! We’re launching our first ever Summer Community Musical, and it’s The Wizard of Oz. This is open to students, families, alumni, teachers, and friends of Maranatha. It’s meant to be fun, flexible, and truly community centered. Imagine creating fun memories with the entire family by your side!
This show also holds a bigger purpose: This production is going to help fundraise for a once in a lifetime opportunity! Our program was recently selected to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland in summer 2027, which is a huge honor, and we want to make that experience possible for as many students as we can! This show will help raise funds for our incredible students!
What this summer looks like:
-
A 3 week rehearsal process
-
Performance on an outdoor stage!
-
Flexible evening rehearsals and Saturdays to work around family schedules
-
Ensemble opportunities with no audition required, just sign up with your family and friends! (lead roles will need to audition)
Whether you want to be center stage or just try something new in a low pressure way, there’s space for the whole family! If your interest is peaked, please read the information packet

Our 2026/2027 Theatre Season
We have an exciting season ahead, and we would love for your student to be part of it!
Inspired by the true story of the Cottingley Fairies, this play is set in 1917 during World War I and follows a young girl whose photographs of fairies spark a worldwide sensation.
As grief and loss weigh heavily on her village, people begin to cling to the images as a source of hope, believing they may be signs from loved ones they’ve lost. When a journalist sets out to prove the photographs are a fraud, deeper questions begin to rise.
Where should hope be placed in a time of uncertainty? Is it wrong to find comfort in something unseen, or is belief sometimes what helps people survive?
It’s a hauntingly beautiful story about truth, imagination, and the human need to believe.
Our spring musical is Peter Pan, a classic story full of adventure, heart, and imagination.
With nostalgic, larger-than-life characters, and a sense of wonder that never gets old, this show is all about holding onto childlike joy while also learning what it means to grow up. It’s playful, magical, and offers so many opportunities for students to shine both onstage and behind the scenes.
