Return to Campus Updates

10-14-2020 update

Though the reported COVID-19 numbers did not go down this week, meaning that Los Angeles County remains at the (most restrictive) Purple Level, we are continuing to prepare our campus for the return of our students. The configuration of classroom space to permit physical distancing should be completed in the next few days. Each afternoon the quietness on our campus is broken, a refreshing change, as our students arrive for athletic conditioning or for performing arts rehearsals. We applaud our students for continuing to follow the health protocols we have implemented.

To date, over 300 families have responded to the survey we posted last Friday to each parent's myMHS portal. The one-question survey will greatly help guide our planning for when we are permitted to transition to an on-campus hybrid model of classroom instruction. Parents who have not yet completed the survey form may still do so by simply logging into their myMHS account (using their own login credentials, not their students). Once logged in, a yellow banner near the top of the page will alert you to any forms that need your attention. Thank you for taking 30-seconds to complete the form today. Our hope is to have every family respond by this Saturday's deadline.

Maranatha parents are encouraged to join us online for our next All-School Parent Forum on Thursday, October 22, at 6:30 p.m. Our Academic Team will present "What to Expect When We Return to Campus", a glimpse into what students can expect when they return to campus as in-person, classroom instruction resumes. We hope every MHS family can join us for this important presentation. Parents may access the Zoom webinar HERE (the link is also posted on the myMHS calendar).

Please watch for these updates each Wednesday by email. We will also post the information to the Return to Campus page, which is found on your myMHS Resource board. Families are welcome to email any specific questions to covidinfo@mhs-hs.org.

Blessings,
