Faith Ising ’22 found her place at Maranatha through Speech and Debate. Some of her fondest memories came from traveling to tournaments with her teammates, but the experience also taught her lessons she still carries with her today: how to communicate well, sharpen those around her, and keep going when the odds don’t look good.

Today, Michelle Washington Roquemore '10 uses her God-given creativity as a full-time artist while raising four children alongside her husband, John, who owns and operates LA Leather Repair. During her time at Maranatha, she embraced campus life through student leadership, athletics, musicals, and artwork that is still displayed on campus.
For Andrew Elffers ’13, Maranatha was more than just a place to learn — it was a community that helped shape his faith, relationships, and sense of calling.
