The Maranatha High School Orchestra invites you to Timeless, a spring concert featuring some of the most powerful and enduring music ever written.
Join us for an evening that journeys across centuries of orchestral sound, from the elegance of Renaissance dance music to the sweeping drama of the Romantic era.
Spanning more than 300 years of musical history, the program includes the lively dance rhythms of Peter Warlock’s Capriol Suite, the brilliance and wit of Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro Overture, the expressive beauty of Franz Strauss’ Nocturno for horn, the sweeping drama of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture, and the driving intensity of the scherzo from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. Together, these works showcase some of the most beloved music in the orchestral tradition while highlighting the artistry and dedication of Maranatha’s student musicians.
The concert will be held at First Baptist Church Glendale, a historic chapel whose beautiful acoustics make it a fitting setting for an evening of live orchestral music. In this special space, Maranatha’s student musicians will offer their gifts through a performance that is both inspiring and memorable.
Come experience an evening of music that truly stands the test of time.
