We were deeply encouraged by their work.

Our advisory groups annually have 10 service hours to complete together as a group. Among the many opportunities that come up during the year, we also have two more amazing service opportunities for student, and we expect these trips to fill up soon.

Hollywood: We have two opportunities to serve with the Hope Center, a Christian organization committed to the holistic renewal of the city. Mr. Chaim Diesto and Dr. Phil Chew will chaperone both trips. One will take place during Winter Term as a class, and the other will be Maranatha's local Summer Missions Trip that will take place June 1-4. Students will participate in work that includes preparing and hosting meals for unhoused citizens and participating in their monthly "Day of Hope" event where they get to serve those experiencing homelessness by providing access to showers, free haircuts, and new clothes, among other services. We anticipate the cost of the trip to be minimal. If you would like more info, please reach out to Mr. Chaim Diesto at c_diesto@mhs-hs.org or Dr. Phil Chew at p_chew@mhs-hs.org.
