As the spring athletics season comes to a close, Maranatha celebrates the hard work, competitive spirit, and standout achievements of our student-athletes across multiple sports.
With the spring season mostly wrapped up, we want to give a huge shout-out to all of our spring sports teams for representing Maranatha with determination, resilience, and strong team spirit.
Boys’ Volleyball earned a spot in the CIF playoffs, where they faced a challenging first-round opponent.
Boys’ Tennis also made a strong postseason run, concluding its season with a hard-fought loss in the second round of CIF competition.
Softball returned to CIF for the first time in three years and was bumped up to Division 4, where the team competed well in a tough first-round matchup.
Baseball also had an impressive postseason placement, landing in Division 1 this season. Under the Division 1 playoff format, the team competed in two games, both of which were incredibly close.
Several individual athletes also continued to shine beyond the regular season.
Griffin Lee and Simon Almasi competed in CIF Individuals for Boys’ Golf.
Swimmer EJ Redson placed 23rd at State in the 100 backstroke.
On the track, Deanna McKellop delivered a standout performance at CIF Finals, taking 2nd place in the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 55.18. Her finish qualified her to compete at the CIF Track & Field Masters this Saturday.
Congratulations to all of our spring athletes and coaches on a strong season. Go Minutemen!
