Celebrating Creativity: 2026 Juried Art Show Winners Announced
We invite our community to explore the original works of our talented Maranatha Visual Arts students and celebrate the creativity, skill, and artistic growth they have demonstrated throughout the year.
The 2026 Juried Art Show, located in the Student Center, highlights a wide range of student work and offers guests the chance to experience firsthand the imagination and dedication of our young artists. The show will remain on display through May 8.
This year’s Best in Show honor was awarded to Audrey Mo, whose work stood out among an impressive collection of student submissions. We are also proud to recognize the many students whose outstanding pieces earned top honors across a variety of artistic disciplines.
In Ceramics, awards went to Addison Lopez, Harley Cattouse, and Isa Bucknam. In Graphic Design, winners included Lucy Varvel for The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Caleb Kwa for Tron Legacy, and Cohen Pistello for Marty Supreme. In Painting and Drawing II, honors were awarded to Sophia Moshfeghi, Jayden Chow, and Louisa Paravecchio in 2nd period, and to Johanna Heine, Isa Bucknam, and Parker Wood in 5th period. In Honors Painting and Drawing, top recognition went to Xinyao “Sandy” Peng, Faith Shimazaki, and Amanda Hadadian.
Students in AP Art and Design were also recognized for excellence in several special categories. For Excellence in Concept, winners were Miaoer “Grace” Yang, Taylor Yun, and Zican “Cathy” Wang. For Excellence in Creativity, honors went to Taylor Yun, Nicole Chen, and Camila Sett. For Excellence in Use of Media, winners included Zican “Cathy” Wang, Nicole Chen, and Sabrina So. Emmy Phillips received the Judge’s Choice for Excellence in Theme in the Body of Work, and Lauren Tang earned Honorable Mention.
Photography awards were given to Photo 1 students Violet Shen, Ryan Huang, and Cynthia Der Artinian, and to Photo 2 students Raja Kita, Simon Li, and Jack Scheidler.
