We’re excited to kick off Winter Term 2026 next week. Below are a few important reminders to help everyone get off to a great start.
No School on Monday, January 26 Monday is a teacher prep day. Winter Term classes will begin on Tuesday, January 27, at 9:00 AM. Please review the schedule HERE.
Courses & Locations Students can view their Winter Term schedules in the Flex App. Be sure to switch to Week View and move ahead to next week to see all four courses. Course locations and details will be listed there, similar to regular Flexes. If a course is off-campus, students should also check their email for any additional instructions from the teacher.
Attendance Attendance will be taken during Winter Term. Absences and tardies will be recorded and reflected in myMHS later, so please plan to arrive on time and be present for each class.
Uniforms Uniforms are not required during Winter Term. That said, students are expected to dress respectfully and responsibly. Pro tip: dress as if you might be heading into a job interview.
Cell Phone Pouches Cell phone pouches will be used and enforced. Block 1 teachers will facilitate the locking process at the start of each day.
AP Sessions AP sessions will continue (8:00-8:45 am and 2:15-3:00 pm) and are visible in the Flex App.
Symposium On Tuesday afternoon, students will gather for a symposium presented by Protect Young Eyes, an organization that partners with schools and families nationwide to promote digital safety, social media awareness, and healthy technology use. Parents are also invited to attend a Protect Young Eyes presentation on Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM in the Student Center, hosted by our Academic Resource Center (ARC). Light refreshments will be provided. Read more HERE.
If you have questions about a specific course, please contact the teacher directly. For any other questions, feel free to reach out to Mrs. McBride or Mrs. Romero.
We’re looking forward to a great week and hope Winter Term sparks new curiosity and a renewed passion for learning.
