Thank You for Joining Us for ARC Bridge: Parent Education Night

Thank you to those who joined us for our ARC Bridge parent education night, “Technology Strategies for a Safe Digital Home.” Whether you attended or were unable to join us, we wanted to share practical ways to support students as they navigate the digital world.

We discussed five key habits for digital parenting: Model the Right Behaviors, Pursue Authentic Connection, Encourage Play & Work, Delay Addictive Tech, and Diligently Prevent Harm. The evening grounded these principles in Scripture, including Philippians 4:8, which calls us to think about what is true, noble, pure, lovely, and admirable; Proverbs 4:23, which urges us to guard our hearts; and 1 Corinthians 10:31, which calls us to do all for God’s glory. This approach is about shaping young people who use technology wisely as part of their Christian discipleship. Together, these habits will not simply restrict access to technology, but rather help students develop digital maturity and wisdom, while living within the freedom that comes from cultivating the fruits of the Spirit.

To help continue or to start the discussion at home, try this conversation starter: Read Philippians 4:8 together and ask, “How can what is true, noble, pure, lovely, and admirable guide the apps we use, the content we view, and the activities we choose online?” Use the verse’s framework to evaluate these choices as a family and discuss how they can honor God.

For a practical resource to explore, visit Protect Young Eyes, especially its App Reviews and Device Guides. These tools can help you learn about popular apps and device settings as you make informed choices for your family.

Please join us for our next ARC Bridge parent night on November 5, 2026. We’ll focus on understanding and using standardized test results – including MAP and PSAT – to create goals and plans that support your student’s success. We hope to see you there!
