Summer 2026 Service Trips: Go, Serve, and be Changed

We’re excited to announce two meaningful service trips this summer, one international and one local, each offering students a powerful chance to live out the Gospel in tangible ways.

 

Whether students feel called to serve across borders or right here in our own community, these trips are designed to be transformational experiences filled with purpose, connection, and lasting impact.

 

Maranatha students are invited to take part in a life-changing six-day mission and adventure trip to Costa Rica. Chaperoned by Mrs. Taylor McBride and Mr. Juan Nunez, this experience blends hands-on service, faith formation, and unforgettable adventure.

 

Partnering with Joshua Expeditions, students will help build a home for a local family, assist with purchasing essential groceries and supplies, and have the opportunity to present the finished home to the family. Alongside this meaningful service, students will also enjoy a day of fun that includes a catamaran cruise and snorkeling.

 

Trip cost: $2,540

(Includes airfare, meals, transportation, and all planned activities)

For students looking to serve locally, Maranatha is offering a four-day service trip to the Hope Center in Hollywood. This trip is a powerful way to be the hands and feet of Jesus while serving people in desperate need right here in our city.

 

Led by Mr. Chaim Diesto and Dr. Philip Chew, students will meet daily at MHS and travel together to Hollywood, where they will serve guests, build relationships, grow as a team, and experience the transformative work the Lord has in store for them.

 

Trip cost: $200

(This cost will be fundraised by each student through prayer and financial support.)

 

This is an incredible opportunity for students to participate in meaningful service, deepen their faith, and experience God’s heart for justice, compassion, and community.
