FAQ's

List of 9 frequently asked questions.

  • Q: DOES MARANATHA HAVE AN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION?

All MHS alumni (all former students of MHS) are part of the MHS Alumni Association. We understand our alumni have busy schedules and welcome all levels and areas of commitment. Please contact the Alumni Office to discuss how you can be involved at alumni@mhs-hs.org.
  • Q: HOW CAN I SUPPORT MY ALMA MATER?

We are so grateful when our alumni choose to give back and support Maranatha. First, please keep MHS in prayer. God has blessed this school in so many ways and your prayers make a difference. Additionally, we encourage you to consider giving to our Maranatha Fund, which enables you to support MHS' academic, sports, arts, tuition assistance and/or other programs. Please click HERE to go our Giving page, where you can learn more about providing a donation to Maranatha.
  • Q: CAN I TOUR THE CAMPUS?

Of course! We love it when our alums visit and we would be happy to facilitate a tour of the campus next time you are in town. Please contact the Alumni Office a few days in advance of your visit so we can be ready for you and schedule a tour guide.
  • Q: CAN I PURCHASE MHS SPIRIT WEAR/SWAG?

The MHS Athletic Booster Club runs the Maranatha Logo Store which sells all types of gear from car decals to hats, umbrellas, seat backs, sweatshirts, jackets, aprons, etc.
  • Q: CAN I VISIT CURRENT STUDENTS AND FACULTY DURING THE SCHOOL DAY?

MHS Alumni are welcome to stop by the Alumni Office in the second floor of the Student Center at any time. All visitors must check in through the Student Center Front Desk and will receive a visitor badge to wear while on campus. Alumni may attend chapel, visit staff during the lunch period, or schedule an appointment with faculty, so as not to disrupt the academic day.
  • Q: WHAT IS MARANATHA’S CURRENT CAMPUS LIKE?

In May 2004, Maranatha High School purchased over 8 acres of the former Ambassador College Campus located in Pasadena, California to serve as the school’s permanent campus home. We opened our doors at this campus in 2005, and have loved the campus ever since. Our facilities are gorgeous! Our Academic Center houses 30 classrooms which include science, biology, chemistry and physics labs, as well as state-of-the-art photography, 3D printing, and Mac labs. The school’s Athletic Center is home to an indoor competition-size swimming pool, a full-size gymnasium, weight rooms, and locker rooms. The Student Center houses the school’s kitchen and cafeteria, a 16ft x 10ft LED multi-media screen, and administrative offices. The school’s grounds include a flowing stream adjacent to the Academic Center and green space for our students to study outside. The Student Center Annex is comprised of the school’s Business Office, Information Services, and Facilities Department.
  • Q: HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED WITH MY ALMA MATER?

We need you, our alums, to stay involved with MHS. There are a number of ways you can get involved at Maranatha to give back to the community.

Class Representative – Become a Class Representative and act as a liaison between your class and MHS. Class reps can help with things such as: collecting updated contact information on classmates, informing classmates of alumni-related events at school, helping plan reunions or other alumni events, and encouraging classmates to be involved.

Attend a School Event – Alumni are welcome and encouraged to attend general school functions such as sporting events, school plays, graduation, etc.

Attend an Alumni Event – There are numerous events open especially for alumni including Alumni sporting events.

Work or Volunteer Your Skills at MHS – Many alums have come back to work at Maranatha. Whether as a faculty/staff or a coach, we are proud to employ Maranatha alumni! MHS alums also volunteer their skills in numerous ways around campus, as mentors, coaches, interns, speakers, and sharing professional trades.

Volunteer with the Alumni Office – Maranatha's Alumni Office welcomes alumni to come back and volunteer. There is plenty to do including sorting through/organizing archive materials, making calls to update the alumni database, putting together alumni care packages, helping with printed material for alumni, and to helping organize Alumni events and sporting events.
  • Q: HOW ARE REUNIONS ORGANIZED?

Class Reunions are organized by members of each class. Alumni may look to their class representatives or other senior class leadership to organize reunions, but any member of the class can coordinate and/or help with a reunion. The Alumni Office is available to lend guidance and assist with contact information as needed. The school is also happy to alert alums of reunions on our website and in other communication tools.
  • Q: HOW DO I UPDATE MY ADDRESS WITH THE SCHOOL?

New e-mail? Moved? New phone number?  Please call the Alumni Office at (626) 817-4074, email alumni@mhs-hs.org, or click here to give us your new information
