Hispanic Heritage Chapel

This past Thursday, we kicked off Hispanic Heritage month with a school-wide celebration during chapel.
The event was completely organized and managed by our Worship Design and Pastoral Theology Teams. The music, sung completely in Spanish, was led by our fantastic Worship Team featuring Ari Gonzalez, Angelina Lopez, Shania Camaja, Isabella Lieberg, Natalie Powell, Marisa Sanders, Isabella Madrid, Sophia Madrid, and alumnus Fausto Diaz ‘22.

We learned about the Hispanic contributions to math, science, and culture from our TILE Lab Coordinator, Miguel Almena. We also heard beautiful, vulnerable personal life stories from Hispanic members of our community:  Teacher Robert Gonzales, and senior student and Pastoral Theology member Rebeca Garnica. It was an inspiring chapel and a great way to celebrate this important season as a school community.
