Dr. Steve Argue to Speak at November’s PA Meeting

We are excited to have Dr. Steve Argue speak at our next Parent Association meeting on November 10.
Join us as Dr. Argue presents “Parenting our In-Motion Teenagers and Young Adults”. We've all been there. You finally think you've cracked the code on parenting your growing kid, and then you don't. What worked yesterday doesn't seem to work today. Parents can often get discouraged, even feel isolated as they navigate parenting highs and lows. Here's the hopeful news– you were made to parent your child, and you're not alone. Let's embrace this reality by joining together for a seminar on parenting teenagers and young adults that will be informative and encouraging!

Steve Argue, Ph.D., is the Associate Professor of Youth, Family, and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary and the Applied Research Strategist at the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI). He has pastored at Mars Hill Bible Church (Grand Rapids, MI) and Elmbrook Church (Brookfield, WI) and served on the Association of Youth Ministry Educators board. Steve researches, speaks, and writes regularly on adolescence, emerging adulthood, faith, and spiritual struggle. He has co-authored: Growing With: Every Parent's Guide to Helping Teenagers and Young Adults Thrive in Their Faith, Family, and Future [Baker Pub.]; 18 Plus: Parenting Your Emerging Adults [Orange, The reThink Group, Inc.]; and Sticky Faith Innovation: How Your Compassion, Creativity, and Courage Can Support Teenagers' Lasting Faith (Fuller Youth Institute). Steve and his wife, Jen, live in Southern California and love being parents to Kara, Elise, and Lauren.

The Parent Association meeting will be held from 8:00-9:00 am on November 10 in the Commons room (3rd floor, Academic Center). For those who are unable to attend in-person, it will be live-streamed on maranathahighschool.org/tv.
