Maranatha Arts in the Spotlight this Week

The evening will be a night of jazz under the stars, performed on the Keith Family Field. Tickets for either performance are extremely limited, with only 35 “family spaces” available per night (each family space accommodates a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 occupants). These spaces were created for families to enjoy the show as if they are having a picnic in the park, so please plan to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs. Specially designed charcuterie boxes will be available for purchase at the door to help complete your evening.  Attendees should bring their own beverages (non-alcoholic, of course).

Visit the online box office today to purchase a family space for only $20. All Covid-19 protocols will be enforced. Guests are encouraged to be seated on the field prior to 7:30 pm to view this year’s film projects (on the big screen on the field), created by Maranatha’s Film students.

To complete the art experience, guests should arrive to campus even earlier in the evening to enjoy a unique and exciting art exhibit. 

Maranatha has an incredible Visual Arts Program with graduates matriculating to some of the most prestigious art schools in the world. From 3:00-7:00 pm on April 16 and 17, visitors will have an opportunity to view some of the finest works by Maranatha’s current art students, on display in the “garage” artspace (northeast corner, where sets are usually crafted). The exhibit will utilize wall projections and traditional displays to showcase a variety of works, including painting and drawing pieces created in different mediums, graphic design, and photography creations. Lastly, the TILE Lab has also prepared an interactive art experience visitors won’t soon forget.

Admission to the artspace is free and will be on a first-come, first-served basis with Covid-19 safety protocols, such as physical distancing and mask-wearing, enforced.

This weekend, make plans to visit the artspace, and then settle down in your lawn chair with a charcuterie box to enjoy the best that Maranatha Performing and Visual Arts has to offer!
