Senior College Essay Workshop to be Offered October 12
With college acceptances quickly approaching, Maranatha seniors have begun working hard on their applications.
To help them sharpen their skills, the College Counseling Department is hosting a free College Essay Workshop for Maranatha seniors on Monday, October 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (there is no regular school on 10/12). Presented via Zoom, the online workshop will allow seniors to work specifically on their University of California applications. The college counselors will be assisting students with their Personal Insight Questions (PIQs). These questions require a different approach than the “typical” essay and the Counseling Department will explain the differences and help students develop their responses.
There is no cost to participate. Zoom login information will be emailed to all seniors by the College Counseling team prior to the event. If you have questions, please contact Alexandra Brown at a_brown@mhs-hs.org.
