CSU and UC Suspend SAT/ACT Requirements for 2021-2022 Admissions

Important college admissions updates for Maranatha’s Class of 2021.
The Cal State University and University of California systems have decided to temporarily suspend the college application requirements of SAT/ACT testing for the 2021-2022 academic year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This temporary change will ensure equitable access to the university and should provide some measure of relief to prospective students and their families. For more information regarding the temporary admissions changes for the 2021-2022 academic year, please visit “Cal State Apply” (HERE) and University of California (HERE).

Other colleges and universities across the country have also made the decision for optional testing. For a list of those colleges and universities, please visit Fair Test (HERE).

During these unprecedented times, Maranatha’s College Counselors continue to be there to help our students with their college admissions questions. If you have questions, please be sure to email Mr. Bell (m_bell@mhs-hs.org), Ms. Brown (a_brown@mhs-hs.org), or Ms. Petersen (t_petersen@mhs-hs.org) for more information.
