Grab Your Seat in the Jury Room!

The Performing Arts season at Maranatha High School opens with a literal “bang” November 8-9 with the award-winning stage play, Twelve Angry Jurors.
The story is set in the 1950s and is filled with the intensity that is generated in any jury room when the jurors are debating the guilt or innocence of a young man on trial for murdering his father.

Directed by Maranatha Theatre Director James Duke, Twelve Angry Jurors explores the “baggage” that each of the twelve jurors brings to this capital case - the disappointments, the biases, the hurts and discouragement that life shares with us all. As such, it is a tour de force exploration of the human condition, brought to light by this life and death situation.

This production takes place on the stage of the Ambassador Auditorium; literally, everything takes place on the stage. Not only are the set and actors on the stage, but the audience as well, which gives them all the chance to interact with what’s going on. It will be a truly “immersive” experience in theatre.

The performances are November 8 at 7:00 p.m. and November 9 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 general admission and $8 for students and are available in advance online at maranathahighschool.org/boxoffice and also at the box office the days of production. This play is fairly intense but is appropriate for all ages.

Come enjoy another great Performing Arts season at Maranatha High School.
