Don’t Miss Out on the October PA Meeting with Guest Speaker Kara Powell

Maranatha’s Parent Association would like to invite all our parents to their next monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 9 at 8:00 a.m. in the Commons (located on the 3rd floor of the Academic Center). The PA meeting will be featuring guest speaker Kara Powell, Ph.D. who is the Executive Director of the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) and a faculty member at Fuller Theological Seminary. During the PA meeting, Dr. Powell will be sharing on the topic of "Our Parenting and Their Adulting: Navigating your High Schooler's Journey with Faith, Family, and Future."

Dr. Powell was named by Christianity Today as one of “50 Women to Watch.” She also serves as a Youth and Family Strategist for Orange, and also speaks regularly at parenting and leadership conferences. Dr. Powell is the author or co-author of a number of books including Growing Young, The Sticky Faith Guide for Your Family, Sticky Faith Curriculum, Can I Ask That?, Deep Justice Journeys, Essential Leadership, Deep Justice in a Broken World, Deep Ministry in a Shallow World, and the Good Sex Youth Ministry Curriculum.
