Seniors, you’re about to head off to college in six months! Here are some scholarship opportunities that have been provided by our College Counseling Department to help assist in paying for college.
Pasadena Water and Power: 1st place: $5000 and 2nd place: $2500
Requirements:
Current senior at a high school in Pasadena
Must be a resident within the Pasadena Water and Power territory
Must attend a two/four-year post-secondary institution in the coming year
Submit application and essay by April 22, 2019
Sierra Madre Woman’s Club 2019 Academic Scholarships: Several $1000 scholarships
Requirements:
GPA 3.5 or better
Contributed in community service or volunteer
Held leadership positions
Participated in extracurricular activities
Submit application and paperwork by March 22, 2019
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority: Academic Awards
Requirements:
African American student or student of African descent
Resident of Pasadena, Altadena, or Sierra Madre
GPA of 3.0 or better
Acceptance to four-year college or university
Submit application and required documentation by February 22, 2019
College-bound African American graduating high school senior
Submit application to be postmarked by February 25, 2019
La Cañada Thursday Club Foundation Scholarships: Two scholarships available
Requirements:
Must be a resident of La Cañada
Academic excellence
Community service
Potential for success
Deadline: February 25, 2019

Pasadena Police Officers Association Scholarships: Several scholarships available
Requirements:
Be eligible to graduate June 2019
Maintained a GPA of 2.27 or better junior and senior years
Participated in service activities
Be available to attend awards presentation in June
Deadline: May 1, 2019
