Return to Campus Updates

04-14-2021 update

The number of Covid cases changed very little in the past week and LA County remains in the Orange Tier. At this point, we do not anticipate the occurrence of any significant changes that would affect our daily school operations in the remaining 6 weeks of the academic year. Our Covid protocols continue to be effective, and it is important that we remain diligent in following all health guidelines such as wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and washing our hands frequently. The biggest challenge we've observed with our students is that they wish to spend time together and sometimes forget to maintain distance. So, we ask that you join us in reminding them of the importance of doing so.

The State of California released guidelines for school graduation events, based on each county's color tier. Additionally, the Pasadena Public Health Department has granted us permission to hold in-person Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies. We are looking forward to celebrating our graduating seniors on campus on May 28th and 29th! (More information will be sent to seniors and their parents next week.)

It is encouraging to hear that the Covid vaccine has been made available to more age groups and many people have already been vaccinated, even some of our students. However, the pandemic is not over and we ask you to remain vigilant about following the guidance of public health officials. We are planning to start school in-person, on-campus this August, and, in the meantime, need everyone to do their part to minimize the spread of this virus.

God bless,

John Rouse
