Return to Campus Updates

12-2-2020 update

With the holidays upon us, the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Los Angeles County, as expected, continues to rise, prompting health officials to issue further warnings to the public.
Current health orders do not change the activities we are permitted to hold on campus, therefore we will be continuing with our small groups of athletics and performing arts, ensuring that our students and staff take all necessary precautions. In an abundance of caution, we want to remind students and families how important it is to continue following health and safety guidelines to prevent exposure and minimize the spread of Covid-19.

  • Stay home as much as possible
  • In public, wear a face covering and avoid places where a lot of people are together
  • Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
  • Avoid non-essential travel
We recognize that during Thanksgiving week, each family had to make their own choice about the manner in which they celebrated. For that reason, if your student currently participates in any on-campus activities, we ask that you ensure that your student has been safe before sending him/her to campus, and communicate to us any health concerns you may have. If your student has tested positive for Covid-19 or has been exposed to someone who tested positive, please keep your student home for the 14-day quarantine period, monitor him/her for symptoms, and notify Maranatha's Covid Exposure Management Team by email at covidinfo@mhs-hs.org. The information you provide will remain confidential.

The more diligent we all are, the easier it will be for us to transition back onto campus when we are permitted to do so.

Blessings,

John Rouse
