Return to Campus Updates

11-4-2020 update

This past week saw a slight improvement in the number of reported cases of Covid-19 in Los Angeles County, though we still remain at the Purple (most restrictive) level. As we enter a season of cooler weather and holiday gatherings, we echo the reminders of local health authorities to exercise caution and continue to diligently follow health and safety guidelines to slow the spread of Coronavirus.

  • Stay home as much as possible
  • In public, wear a face covering and avoid places where a lot of people are together
  • Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from others
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
  • Avoid non-essential travel
We recently had a student in our school community test positive for coronavirus. The exposure was not a result of an on-campus activity and no one on campus was exposed. We will continue to be transparent in our communications, but for the sake of confidentiality, we will not share any further details. The school administration ensured that everyone who needed to be made aware for the purpose of contact tracing was notified promptly. The family did an excellent job of communicating with the school and we thank them for following our protocols precisely.

We continue to pray for the health and safety of each of you and ask you to join us in praying for the Lord's continued protection and blessing on our students, families, faculty, and staff. If you have specific questions about our school's plans or response to this pandemic, you are welcome to email covidinfo@mhs-hs.org.

Blessings,
