Golfers Swing Into Action to Support Maranatha Athletes

Maranatha High School supporters took to the greens at La Canada Country Club on Monday, October 29, to enjoy a great day of golf while raising money for the school’s athletic program.
The tournament began with lunch and an exciting round of golf with contests and prizes on several holes. The event continued into the evening where the golfers enjoyed a delicious dinner and experienced the excitement of winning items that were up for grabs during the Silent Auction. The hottest auction item of the night was a pair of front row tickets to watch the Dodgers play next season along with a large gift basket filled with Dodgers memorabilia.

The Booster’s Golf Tournament raises significant funds for Maranatha’s athletic program; with the help of Maranatha’s Athletic Boosters, Athletic Department, and members of their community, the money raised during the tournament will benefit the school’s athletic programs, continue to help them thrive, and build a bigger community to support Minutemen athletes.

Maranatha gives a special thank you to the Tournament Coordinator Tom Skidmore, Athletic Director Sammy Skinner, volunteer Dede Cook, and to everyone who helped sponsor the Golf Tournament and donate amazing items for the Silent Auction.
