Summer Academy Registration is Still Open!
Assuming that on-campus education will be permitted this summer, Maranatha High School is offering a broad selection of courses during its 2020 Summer Academy.
Examples of courses and electives that will be offered include:
- Geometry
- Honors Geometry
- Biology
- Honors Biology
- Chemistry
- Honors Chemistry
- A resume-building, UC-approved Robotics Science Elective
- Speech and Debate English Elective
Taking a science or math course during the summer provides students with the opportunity to free up their schedule in order to take higher-level/AP courses in these areas during the regular school year. We also encourage students to take one of our Summer Academy after-school enrichment classes, which will help them to stay motivated and continue to grow and learn. The enrichment classes being offered are:
- Intro to Worship Design, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. (M-F)
- After school Tutoring for Learning Assistance Program students from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. (M-F)
The 2020 Summer Academy takes place from June 15 to July 24, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (because of the additional laboratory component, science classes will end at 12:30 p.m.)***
The Summer Academy registration fee is $50 ($70 after May 15) for any part-time or full-time class. Please view HERE to get further information about various classes that are offered. ***We are in regular discussions about the updates from our local and state authorities regarding the opening of school and the possible conditions under which we will operate. If reorganization is required or mandated school closures continue through the summer due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Maranatha High School will communicate alternative plans to all enrolled families as quickly as possible.
