Maranatha High School to Hold 1st Annual Festival of the Arts

Maranatha High School’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts is proud to announce its 1st Annual Festival of the Arts!
“Over the Rainbow: A Visual Journey” will take place in conjunction with our Performing Arts production of “The Wizard of Oz.” The 3-day festival will be held Thursday through Saturday on March 14-16 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Guests can visit the exhibit tent filled with art created by our students, located on the Fountain Plaza. The Student Center will feature an interactive center where students, parents, and children will have an opportunity to “create” art of their own based upon “The Wizard of Oz.” A barbecued Mediterranean dinner will also be available beginning at 3:00 p.m. on all three days. Then at 7:00 p.m. guests are invited into the world famous Ambassador Auditorium to watch Maranatha’s spring production of “The Wizard of Oz.”

So come and make it an afternoon and evening of art surrounded by the beauty of the Fountain Plaza and Ambassador Auditorium. Purchase dinner for your family, eat together outside on the Fountain Plaza, stroll through the incredible art exhibits, have your picture taken, post your thoughts on a rainbow chatboard, color in the characters from “Wizard of Oz,” and doodle on our black and white Emerald City doodle art mural. It will be a family event to be remembered.

More details to come, so stay tuned!
